Decisions We Make Take Meet is a hand-carved wood sculpture by James Gilbert. Constructed from carved wood with metal, stain, varnish, and wax, the sculpture retains visible evidence of its making through exposed joinery, carved surfaces, and assembled forms. Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, it proposes an object whose structure reflects accumulation, revision, and the consequences of one decision meeting another within the artist’s ongoing exploration of how material forms carry uncertain histories
