What We Don’t Know but What Don’t We Know is a hand-carved wood sculpture by James Gilbert. The work combines carved wood, metal, stain, varnish, and wax to create a hybrid form that questions the limits of knowledge and invites viewers to consider how evidence, memory, and inherited narratives shape what we accept as truth.
