Has fame worship, cultural narcissism and the rush to become famous also caused each of us to become outspoken critics and judges of each other? Reality competitions, television talent shows and social media may have taught us that fetishistic behavior is rewarded and likes, votes and subscribers correlates to our own social relevance, even if only temporary, through audience participation, live commentary and media opinion.
