Transitive Pairings: Body Object was developed for an exhibition pairing artists and architects. Working within this collaborative framework, the project considers the body as the point where sculpture, installation, fashion, and architecture converge, questioning the boundaries between physical structures and lived experience.

The installation considers the relationship between the body and its surrounding environment by treating skin as more than a biological covering. It becomes a sensory threshold through which the world is encountered, negotiated, and understood. Drawing on the formal language shared by architecture and fashion, the work blurs distinctions between shelter, clothing, sculpture, and spatial experience.

Both immersive and performative, Transitive Pairings asks how the body shapes perception. By extending ideas of function beyond utility, the work considers how the structures we inhabit—and those we wear—mediate our relationship with the world around us.
