Plastic Primitive presents hand-carved wooden sculptures as speculative artifacts that occupy a space between invention and archaeology. The sculptures invite viewers to infer their function, significance, and place within an imagined cultural system.

Rather than concealing the process of making, the sculptures foreground it. Chisel marks, exposed joinery, uneven surfaces, and visible repairs remain part of each sculpture. These traces of making become integral to the work's meaning.

Each sculpture functions as an individual object, yet their presentation together activates relationships that extend beyond the individual work. Rather than resolving into a single narrative, the sculptures suggest systems of ritual, mortality, sexuality, and social exchange.
