Physically engage an audience while wrestling willing participants in a museum setting. This is a participatory act while generating a conversation about the cultural dynamic between the arts and sports while gaining an understanding of the significance of each within a community. I chose wrestling because it is recognized as one of the longest practiced sports, some records of fights date back to 3,000 BC, and was part of the Olympic Games of Antiquity. As there had been debate for this sport to be discontinued in the Olympics we could have potentially lost part of a historical narrative in the same way a loss may occur when the arts are abandoned, neglected or destroyed.
